Damage Deposit Details
A $100 refundable damage deposit is collected from renters at checkout and held in escrow. It is returned to the renter when:
- The trailer is returned on time and in the same condition as when picked up
- No active repo or lien claim has been filed on the trailer
- The owner confirms satisfactory return
If damage occurs, the deposit may be applied toward repair costs. Additional damage exceeding $100 will be charged to the renter’s payment method on file.
Payment Processing
HaulMyTrailer processes payments through Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant). Owner payouts are handled via Stripe Express. Standard payout timing is 2–5 business days after rental completion.
Refunds & Cancellations
Cancellation and refund policies are set by individual owners. A standard cancellation policy (free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup) is enforced unless the owner specifies otherwise. The renter service fee and damage deposit are fully refundable on cancellations made within policy.
