Renting or listing a trailer on HaulMyTrailer takes just a few minutes.

🚗 For Renters

1. Create Your Account & Verify

Sign up for free. Complete our quick identity and driver’s license verification — it takes 5 minutes and is reviewed within 1–2 business days. You only do this once.

2. Search for a Trailer

Use our search bar to find trailers near you. Filter by type, size, hitch rating, and availability. Our tow compatibility checker helps you confirm your vehicle can safely haul the trailer before you book.

3. Book & Pay Securely

Choose your dates, review the rental terms, and check out. Your payment is held securely in escrow — it isn’t released to the owner until the rental is complete and you’ve both confirmed everything went smoothly.

A $100 refundable damage deposit is collected at checkout. It’s returned after the trailer is inspected and returned in good condition.

4. Pick Up & Document

Meet the owner at the agreed pickup location. Together, take pre-rental photos of the trailer from all angles before driving away. These photos are your protection — and the owner’s too.

5. Haul. Return. Done.

Return the trailer on time, do post-rental photos together, and submit your return confirmation. Once the owner confirms return, your deposit is refunded and the owner gets paid.

🚛 For Owners

1. List Your Trailer for Free

Create a listing in minutes. Set your daily/weekly rate, availability, pickup location, towing requirements, and any house rules. Listing is always free — we only charge when you earn.

2. Get Verified as an Owner

Complete owner verification — we verify your identity and confirm you have the legal right to rent the trailer. If you have a lien on the trailer, see our lien policy.

3. Accept Bookings

You’ll receive an email when someone books. Review the renter’s profile and verified status, then confirm. The renter’s payment is held in escrow — you’re protected before they even show up.

4. Hand Off & Earn

Meet the renter, document the trailer together, and hand over the keys. After the rental completes and you confirm everything’s good, funds are released to your connected bank account via Stripe.

Fee Structure for Owners

HaulMyTrailer takes a 15% platform commission from your rental earnings. You keep 85%. See Pricing & Fees for examples.
